Crossover with:Criminal Minds
Prompt: Torchwood requests that the BAU help profile some alien species in order to catch them. Would like a case fic, but underlying... Hotch is hesitant to start a relationship with Reid since he is his boss... Jack and Ianto notice the tension and offer their advice to move the couple forward into a relationship. Nothing too fluffy, I like when they are the manly men they are... but definitely obvious affection/desire between the couples.
Word Count: This part - 6288
Summary: The BAU is loaned to the United Kingdom to help find a serial torture/rape killer who's been dumping bodies in Caerphilly Castle's moat. Torchwood is brought in when they find that the bodies that haven't completely decomposed are found to have no nerve tissue left, apparently eaten from the inside out. They need to work together to get rid of the threat.
Timeframe: Classic Torchwood with no dead people in it. Criminal Minds at least a year after the mess with Foyet.

A/N: Okay, I will admit it up front: short fiction is not what I'm good at. I don't really like any of these, which is why I'm not posting them to any communities, but just here for my friends. I simply cannot say what I want to say in less than a thousand words. It all gets crowded together and never comes out the way I want it to. I joined the community to try and force myself, but it isn't working very well. So how do you tell a story in less than a thousand words? Any hints would be very helpful, since I'm at a loss. I've written these by just saying what I want and then whacking it down to the right length, but that's obviously the wrong way to do it. Anyway, here they are.

Fan Fiction Repository Update for March 14th

First, some infrastructure changes:

1. Links to the PDF's I made the eBooks from are now on the site along with the links to the eBooks
2. I have created a Master Title list so if you're not sure about the author, but you know the title, you can find the book without trawling through all the author pages.

Second, a new 'verse added! I have now put the Love and Family Knows No Bounds books up on cjharknessgirl's page. If you like domestic Jack and Ianto, it's a must read.

There are more books up on the site that I haven't had time to link in yet. Look for more Reel Torchwood, some crossover fics, and some new authors soon. For those of you sending me PDF's, thank you! I'll get to them as fast as I can. They have to be fitted around my stupid RL that insists on interfering with my obsessions. :(

Torchwood eBook Repository: Calling All Authors!

It was suggested to me that I make a blanket post asking all the authors here if they would consent to having their work translated into an eBook and put in the repository at:

The work itself is not changed; it's just put into MOBI format and a link to download it is put on the site.

Please reply to this post if you give permission or if you don't give permission.

Giving permission doesn't mean your stories will magically appear. They still need to be translated into a PDF. There's lots of ways to translate a document in some other format to a PDF. Googling "Convert Word to PDF" will get around a million hits.

I will confess that I've constructed a few myself from web pages here, but it's a long and labor-intensive process, so I am not inclined to do it unless I really want something badly. I'm naturally lazy, so I have to be really motivated.

Please, please, please consider giving permission.
